Greetings, I like many want the pro grill in my OR. I have extensively read the threads about all the options. Here is my question I have found a local guy who has an OEM grill, yotoverse garnish, and Wescott bracket for the camera, for sale in a package. Is this combination of parts going to yield a good finished product. I have called my Toyota dealer and they are all but guaranteed if I relocate the sensor I'm going to have a TSS light on after telling me they wont sell me the parts. I am an auto tech by trade, turned service manager so installation is not my concern.

Any help or assurance would ve appreciated as the truck has 300 miles on it I am a little concerned.

I put an OEM grill on my 22 sr5 when it had about 800 miles on it. But I also used an OEM sensor garnish. Truck has 2200 miles now, no lights no anything, all my TSS applications work. I know some guys will go aftermarket for the garnish since the OEM one is roughly $320 and up. But I try to stick with OEM as I possibly can

    Oh look, another mod....

I did what you did. I traded my TRD Offroad OEM grill (with TSS sensor & front facing camera), for an TRD Heritage grille. You will not have a TSS light on after you install it. It was very easy to swap out and install. Here are the before and after pictures:

I like having the front facing camera up that high. It gives me a better angle of what is in front of me. Before (on the OEM), it was only looking directly at the bumper. Now I can see a few feet in front of me.

I haven't had any issues at all with the camera or TSS sensor or garnish plate for the sensor.

Same experience for me. I went with the Taco Vinyl grille with that came with the garnish pre-installed and a front camera bracket made specifically for their grille. No TSS light and no problems with the front facing camera. Everything works fine. If I can install it and not have an issue anyone can, as I will be the first to admit I am mechanically impared LOL.

    Lookin' Good!

I don't have a front camera on my aftermarket grill...from EmpyreOffRoad.

Installed it a couple months ago (August) and test the DRCC & LDA when on long stretches of road going over 50 mph.

No errors and TSS works as advertised.

    I love the improved look!

I swapped mine out to the pro grille with the camera, I myself don't have the from camera. No TSS light and all my driving is cruise control with the radar, no issues. I think they tell you that to spend the money to get it recalibrated. If anyone has actually had to please comment

I bought my gently used 2017 Taco this April and I noticed the grill was different but I thought it was a TRD option. I never realized it was aftermarket till I came here. It had those ridiculous lights in the top of the grill which I quickly removed. It had HIDs too and fixed that with all LED headlights and fog lights. This place is a wealth of info.

The westscott camera mount did not work for me. I ended up buying a pro forward facing camera.

I’ve got an OEM Grille and Garnish on the way for my ‘22 Taco. My truck didn’t come from the factory with a front facing camera, but the new Grille will have the spot for it. Does anyone know what OEM parts/kit number is needed for this, or do I have to go aftermarket?

    @rins71mc

You're not diggin' the lights in the grill, huh? (we all have different tastes)

Those are "smoked" Raptor Lights...not as stand-out-ish as the Amber colored ones.

I have mine set-up to turn on with the headlights (as opposed to constantly on).

The Grill on your Taco is definitely more aggressive looking than the OEM that comes with.

I believe this camera will fit the camera hole in the TRD Pro grill very well. This is what I intend to do once my allocation comes in(if it doesn't have the 360 camera already).
