    Hello,

I've been trying to narrow down the best way to put a boat rack on my 3rd gen tacoma over my softopper. I absolutely love the one by dissent offroad but I'm wondering if there are any other lightweight options. I'm actually wondering if anyone has ever modified one of the many thule/other manufacture ladder racks to fit over a softopper. I wish I was more skilled at manufacturing because I feel it would be fairly easy to build a new base system that fit outside the bars of the softopper that would allow for the vertical posts of a thule tracrac or similar to fit. Additionally it would be awesome if the vertical posts were removable when the rack is not needed and then the softopper could still be operated up/down but the base plates could all stay in place. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
