4.30s seem to be pretty rare but they did come on v6s. I pulled one myself from a 2001 ext cab.

His year came with 16" rims and metric sizes that are about a 32. My year came with 15" rims and 31s

265-70-16s are not 32s. They actually come out a little smaller than a true 31"

You're missing the point. 33s aren't much bigger then what he's got on. So 4.88s are kind of overkill. He's got the v6

I have been looking around and y'all would be surprised. I found the complete rear end chunks from 4.30-4.88 factory gear sets for about $600.00 and the front diffs same gears $175-$300. Actually even found some 4.56 rear ends with electrical locker. Lots of 4.88's with none locker. Even had the sellers and junk yard send me pictures of the door tags. I can tell you that the 265/75/16 with a 4.10 gear is way over geared. That thing was screaming on the way home. I would add that everyone driving situations are different. I'm basically on flat ground at sea level. Over passes are my biggest hills lol.

With Auto Tranny, the final drive gear is only around 0.71 making HWY rpm's lower than they would be with the 5spd tranny that has at 0.84 final drive gear. This is why most that run the Auto typically go up one more gear set than those running 5spd. I've done a decent amount of research and for 33" tires, the general consensus I've found to be the following:

    V6 5spd: 4.56
    V6 Auto: 4.88
    4cyl 5spd: 4.56-4.88
    4cyl Auto: 4.88-5.29

Finally got the truck complete. Seems to be fine up top 70-75mph 2100-2300 rpm. It really lack s on the bottom and mid getting to speed. I'm gonna put the supercharger on weds then I'll decide where to go with the gearing. I'm thinking more like 4.56. 34" tires are a little to big so I'll probably go with a 33". Thanks, for all the help and replies.
