Couple shitty things could happen, sliding off a slushy road is one, another is they didn't secure the vehicle before working on it and got trapped if it fell. If they went over Steel pass they shouldn't have had an issue, it would be hard to roll in dedeckera canyon

Still no word huh? I'd imagine you'd either be hearing from them in the next couple of hours as they make their way back into town, or they're sippin' on some beers enjoying the hot springs.

I'm giving until 9pm and if nobody hasn't heard from them I'll head up to meet @tetten at Pig Pine and go from there. It's approximately a 4.5 hour drive to Big Pine from my location.

If I go I would like a volunteer(s) to monitor this thread and to help coordinate and pass on any info as it comes along to me via cell phone and text messages since I won't be able to do so while driving.

I dunno, starting to think I'm crazy and there was something I missed over the phone. Like "oh hey we're gonna go look at you truck pick you up tomorrow at 1"......but then again, them heading out without me doesn't make any sense.....

Some pictures of Saline Hot Springs, Steele Pass, Deckera Canyon and Eureka Dunes for those of you who haven't been. I find a bit of imagery goes a long way when it comes to imagining an area. This area is very remote and only a few options for alternative routes - one of them being confirmed as closed.

Ahhh don't let the worst case scenarios get to you, pretty astronomically low chance of them both having an issue.

No way a Camry would make it any further than Eureka Dunes. Even that is chancing it. There would still be a extremely long hike from that point.

I talked to him at 1030 and set up the meeting at 1pm in Big Pine, that was the last anyone heard from them. Does one of them have a significant other that they may have contacted?

I was thinking the same thing, maybe some peeps can volunteer to head to their residences and make contact with family.
