    Greg and I are currently wrapping up breakfast in Bishop, then heading to the incident site to fix it sans owner.

    My spares include full matched sets of spindles, UCAs, LCAs, and plenty of other bits. All tools needed. Extra food, clothes, water. We're good to make a few days of this if necessary.

    I'm very familiar with the broader and the specific area. Seeing the pics, I'm now thrilled where he is (lots of wide open space).

    The rescues are abundant. Greg just had an eerily similar mishap not that long ago with a broken spindle and for him to turn right around to get someone he never met is a testament to his character.

    Shane getting rescued was before my time here, but you can see that even the most prepared people can get into trouble easily. That's why having a community like this is so important. More than just sharing info and busting balls, people on here look out for eachother (for the most part).

    TW has rescued a close personal friend of mine as well. It's also a good read if you guys get a chance:
