Yes, I set up earlier to meet them at 1pm over phone.

 

They mentioned knowing right where the truck was

 

It certainly is

 

They don't know exactly where it is, which makes weirder they haven't responded.

Since his radio stopped updating that GPS tracker I'd assume it's turned off....which would probably only happen if they were parked there with the key off? But if you arranged to meet in town at 1 I'm not sure why they'd ditch you. x 2

I wish that I would have seen this thread earlier, I have a spare set of spindles and I know exactly the area where the break down is at. i was just there with @blackhawke88 about a month ago. This would have been the perfect excuse to head back to Steele Pass and the Hot Springs.

 

I don't have a HAM, was under the impression they were going to meet in Big Pine

 

The last I talked to him was around 1030am

 

Yeah it's entirely possible they underestimated the transit time to and from the truck, which again, I'm not sure why they would go without an exact location

 

In order to establish transit times and meet in big pine they would have have to known

 

If their phones are going straight to voicemail and they haven't replied to the threads, my money is they are already in the backcountry. That's why I mentioned that the 395 has solid service so it only makes sense that that's most likely the case.
