    So, here we go...

My '08 has 118k on it and I'm thinking I would enjoy having new suspension, my only question is which way to go. I rarely off-road, so performance off-road isn't something I'm really concerned about this go round. I do, however, want better ride quality on-road. Based on my extensive use of the Search function on TW, I'm leaning towards Icons all around, not sure why my gut says to pass Billie (5100?) by, but it does.

My question is this:for a person who really isn't concerned with offroad or lifting(at the present time, eventually this won't be my daily and who knows what wild hair I will get then), is Icon worth the additional cost beyond a toytec/billie setup? I realize that you get what you pay for, it just seems like I see a fair number of people upgrading suspension(toytec/icon/fox/OME), then selling it to buy King. I can't really justify spending that kind of money on Kings, considering I'm mostly concerned with daily driving ride quality, and currently have no interest in lifting. Yes, I've read plenty of other threads, it's just that I've not seen the question addressed regarding the rate of return on suspension for someone who recognizes they really don't offroad all that much.

Forgive the blasphemous nature of owning such a truck and being concerned with on-road suspension performance, but it all comes down to $$$$ at this point in time. There's many things I want to replace/rebuild on the truck to bring it back to a condition where it had fewer rattles, creaks, and wobbles...the more I spend on suspension, the less I've got to spend on trying to make it drive like new again. Also, when I do go all in on suspension...I'm going ALL IN on the entire truck; now just isn't the time for that.
