    The survivors may have a long road to recovery if at all. I use to know a guy who survived a major car accident only to end up with narcolepsy which basically turned his world upside down.

    My guess is the Taco took the initial hit, not the car. A tractor trailer goes through a car at those speeds. Enough energy was absorbed by the Taco to not simply squash the Altima.

    Looking at these pictures and the sliders, it looks like the sliders helped keep the passenger compartment intact. Without those sliders, the frame may not of buckled where they did and could of buckled in the passenger area.

    Assuming it was just those two cars and the semi, yeah. There's not enough front end damage on the altima to suggest it rammed the Taco.
