How did you manage to get the heat shields in with the lack of room?

I had to cut them in half to reinstall and sealed them up with high temp aluminum tape. It's very close to everything but not touching. In checking temps the manifold as 375 deg, with shields now 185 deg. Probably lower now with heat wrap tape on headers. That was tough to do.

FYI, I did have to trim a few inches of the fire wall side of shields...

It never got over 188deg in traffic today and dropped to high 170s when moving.

Question: on your A/C where did you send the a/c lock sensor wires? My understanding is it tells the ecu if the compressor locks up preventing potentially throwing the serpentine belt off...

For what it's worth, I've not been driving my truck on the road as I don't have a rear shaft, and need an alignment.

However, I have a few acres and have been driving around with the AC on and fans on. It's been in the upper 70s low 80s and my truck stays at 190* with no heat shields...

What wire is it. It's been a long time since I looked at the tundra wiring.

The 4runner controls the ac differently.

On the Taco B-R to a/c magnetic clutch

    Tundra
    LG-B to a/c magnetic clutch

These two I'm not sure where to get the signal if even needed.
Y-G from integration panel to a/c lock
G-W from integration panel to a/c lock

A little bit of wiring is required, and you need the Tacoma oil pressure sending unit, but yet. Everything works

Yes, just my tach is off. I need to get a signal modifier to recognize the the two new cylinders. Temporarily using a wifi OBD2 reader with Torque app on my phone.

Mine was dead on... My tach was from a 4cyl. I'm guessing you had a v6?

    Yep, 3.4. I've used TACH-ADAPT on my e30 V8 swap, worked perfectly.

    Yeah without the $$$ .

Speaking of Mula...I am under $2000 in my swap. That includes the cost of the engine and rebuild. Rings, bearings, gasket set, new water pump, t-belt, tensioner, etc. Not a bad investment in a vehicle that will last me 10 more years.

That truck barely looks like it has 100k. Beautiful!
