Well it looks like I fell victim to a deer... He ran off and thankfully I saw him to where I was able to hit my brakes, but he still ran right at my truck. Could be a lot worse, but as of now the damage looks more physical than visual. The headlight assembly is broke and somehow ended up inside the headlight, my fog light is gone and the whole bumper is busted. The fender separated from the hood. We will see what insurance says I guess IMG_20191105_065136.jpg

Dude!!!!!! Perfect excuse to buy a badass front high lift off road bumper. The deer already started cutting your fender for you.

That doesn't look too bad. Probably only $10k or so...sorry, just feeling a bit negative today. With the dead deer along the roads in my area, I'm waiting for my number to come up. Don't remember who said it but they said if you glued little headlights and a horn on your bullets and slowed them down to 55 mph the deer would jump right in front of them, hunting would be too easy.

$2200 but looks like you got sheet metal damage so add some more $.
    Guess how I know.
Check the fender liner. Likely that it sustained damage from the various connectors getting ripped out.

He could've at least stayed so I could get my money's worth in meat for the winter. How rude.

Update: Got my baby back today, looks good as new! $9,000 worth of damage paid to insurance. Only one issue, they replaced the headlight and now my DRLs only turn on if the headlights are on. If the switch is on DRL they don't come on... Anyone know a fix without having to take her back to the shop?

Check the DRL wiring on that side of the headlight. Maybe the wire is cut?

It is a connector near the bottom of the headlight, green, purple (maybe pink) and white/black wires.

Should look something like this. Get a voltmeter or something and check the voltage with the parking brake off.

all things considered that doesn't look bad at all, we just recently had a deer leap across the road right outside of our neighborhood this past week, and it landed on the windshield of a jeep wrangler, trapping the girl inside until help arrived.

That's all it was, the parking brake was on when I was looking around the vehicle making sure everything was good. Didn't know the parking brake disabled the DRL's
