So my 11' with 147k just started chirping and I have owned it since it was new and have never done anything but change the fluid with the transmission. Its currently an icy hell in Idaho and I would rather wait until spring when I wont freeze to the ground getting underneath the truck. It currently only makes the chirping when I am driving and on the gas, if I left off it stops and does not so it when I am stopped. I have noticed that there is a bit of a new vibration too but that could be some ice in a rim or something. I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark and have school on my off days and just haven't had time to go give it a close inspection. It sounds like the chirping can go on for miles, I don't like it but if its not going to come apart and cost me a whole transmission I can live with it for another three months or so. Am I missing something huge?

    Maybe check the U-joints.
They can cause that same type symptom.

While I never owned a 6 Speed Tacoma.
In my experience the Throwout bearing usually makes noise while the clutch is pressed in?

I agree. U-joints was my first thought from his description.

My TOB only chirped when the pedal was released. Depressing it even 1/4” was enough to silence the crickets. I believe this was common.

I tolerated it for a few months until I wouldn’t freeze to my driveway either.

It can chirp for years before you fix it.

I recently installed a URD TOB on a friends FJ and it was easy to install (once the trans was out)

I have this same problem and actually talked to my mechanic about it today. He said if the clutch isn’t ready to be replaced let it go until it needs to be. The sound is most likely the throw out bearing but isn’t really damaging anything. Unless it gets really annoying it’s not really worth dropping the transmission just to do the bearing.
