I live in Connecticut so I am looking for a tire that also a decent winter tire and if possible, something that looks a little aggressive. The local tire company is recommending the goodyear fortera tripletred while I was thinking about the bridgestone dueler revo 2 – yes, I know they are completely different tires

    Thoughts/advice/opinions?

I have Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors ATs which has the same snow flake rated as the triple treads. I really like the tires a lot though run a dedicated studded snow tire here in Vermont because we are up in the mountains so much in the winter time. I did run them for one season in the winter and they did great plus so nice on the highway and rain. Would buy another set in a heartbeat & I think a little less $ than the triple treads.

Either tire you are looking at will do good in CT winters.. Lot of people swear by the revos.

I put the Goodyear Forteras on my wife's truck a couple of years ago... The absolute WORST tire I have ever purchased! After 35K, you could actually put your fingers under the tread and lift it away from the tire. The guy at the shop showed it to me and said that we were only miles away from a blowout or tread seperation. I've heard good things about the Revos...

Here's some pics of my forteras, have had them for 13k miles so far and havent had much of a problem. Wish i had gotten some BFG A/T's now. When it rains you have to be very very light on the gas with the tires or your wheels will spin is really the only downside ive seen so far.

Could be wrong, but those are both different Fortera models, not the TripleTread version.

No mods- running boards, vent visors all around ,Leer XQ Cap, hood deflector, bed extender, OEM roof rack, Toyota bed mat.Nothing fancy!
Love the revo 2's- got them 2 weeks ago.I did a lot of research before purchasing. Can't say much for performance in the snow as we haven't had any in a while but they are dynamite in the rain. Don't notice an increase in Road noise over the original Dunlops(which were trash)
