My 2013 4wd truck has the standard "steel" rims. 16" I believe.
I was thinking about buying a set of rims off a 2012 4runner limited which are 18" and a lot wider. I'm not a tire guy and I don't know if there will be enough clearance. Anyone have any info on this?

Wheels should fit just fine running a 265 60 18 tire but might have to trim some if they rub but im not sure as I would need the backspacing and offset of the wheels to determine that.

FYI 18's are a lot more costly of a tire than a 16 or 17

They should fit, just check using the tire calculator here on the forum to get the the right height of your original tires or close to it so your odometer and gas mileage will still be good. I put the 2010 17 inch 4runner wheels on mine last week with 265-65-17 AT/2 tires.
