    Did you post what you ended up valving to? the stack you posted earlier doesn't seem to have a flutter in the rear?

    also the quote from expo forum guy is... uh... but either way High speed video of your truck hitting the type of obstacles you want to improve performance on is going to be more useful than an accurate understanding of the maths.

    It's the same, can see there is a flutter on the compression side of the rear. I won't argue that Expo forum guy is 100% right or wrong, but it's decent perspective to focus less on the trucks weight. I have two ideas on what to do with the rear and I'm going to consult with Ben from Filthy motorsport once more before making up my mind I think. I know these 2.0s aren't my forever solution but they're a good set of shocks to get a feel for this process on.

    So pretty sure in the rear I am going remove the flutter and make only the smallest shim a .015 on compression and going to change the rebound stack to a straight .008 stack. Aaaaand begin gathering parts and pieces for a rear 3 link, my truck is light enough to get away with it.

    They flex well and ride nicely. The truck just needs to start it's transition to long travel somewhere and I'll have the parts and time for that first.

    I would think you could get your shock set up to work pretty well for long travel with 63s in the rear

    63s aren't really long travel they kind of max out in articulation at about 14 to 16 in of travel straight droop they're probably closer to 12-13. It looks like it shouldn't be hard to get about 21 in using a 16-in coilover with a 3 link. I could reconfigure my setup to run a true set of leaves designed for long travel with a 10 or 12-in shackle over the frame. But I'm not sure I see the point in keeping with leaf springs unless you also have a lot of weight to deal with. And I just don't have that much weight really. And the issue with all the long travel Leaf sets is there not designed to carry much weight at all even what I have would be asking quite a bit of them.

    Ordered some shims to get this job done again. Rebound on the rears is going to a straight 8 stack with a 10 in the smallest position and that's it for rebound. All three bleeds are open by default but I am considering drilling one out a little larger too but I will send it as is first to gauge the change.

    Oh and I accidentally did this I guess, so time to repair that since I don't have the time to make it better just yet.

    That is true. I only mentioned Granite because I was thinking it was the only gnarly, rocky one we did, but I forgot about Leadville.

    Got my fridge and a plan to set it up in the truck I think. Going to buy some aluminum angle to make a little stay for it and so I have somewhere to tie off the fridge so it isn't bouncing around. Seems to run and cool really well though, makes a high pitched noise I'm not too fond of but it is from fast pulse width modulation of the compressor, like a brushless motor makes so I think I can silence it easy. That said with food in there as a ballast it probably won't run much, it seems to actually turn off for a while even with nothing in it and hold temp decent. Has a fun little app for my phone so I can see what it is set to, what the battery level is, and if it is running or not. Can set it in there too, but I have a feeling I'll turn it to like 34* and never touch the settings again. I'm excited with how light it is unloaded, still lighter than my good cooler and not having ice/water weight will be a huge difference. Also it is just a nice size in general, the truck is on a more structured diet than I am these days.

    Saturday I am going to revalve the rears again, hopefully that will go quick since I'm reusing the oil and seals this time (they've got like 1 month and a single bit of trip on them). Sunday I will cut off the old shock mount and weld on a new gusseted one and weld a gusset into the other one that didn't bend yet as well.
