Another vibe thread...

I didn’t want to revive zombie threads so I figured I’d make this one.

My truck has vibes from 20-30mph while accelerating or decelerating, but goes away in neutral.

I have a carrier bearing drop installed along with a new rear driveshaft, but the vibrations are still present through those speeds.

It rattles the dash which drives me crazy and I’ve read about using axle shims, adding washers to the carrier drop, or just going with a 1 piece double cardan driveshaft.

I’d just like opinions as to if I should get a new driveshaft made and installed, or if it’s worth the to time play around with shims and washers.

The truck is a 2007 trd off road double cab with a 3” Bilstein 5100/ toytec lift with SPC uppers, AAL + block in the rear

This will head you in the right direction, good luck.
I'd start by just "shooting the driveline angles" and see where the sims need to be. I'm doing the same.

 

I ended up getting a custom 1 piece shaft made today and it fixed every vibration my truck was experiencing. Extremely satisfied with the shop and result
