Universal joints come from the factory with a small amount of assembly lube when the truck is being built .
This assembly lube is exactly what it sounds like . Good for assembly only . The zerks need to be greased well before the truck is sold to you as the buyer . I can guarantee this step of the pre-delivery inspection ( PDI ) was skipped .
Its a shame Toyota dealerships dont pick up a grease gun during oil changes and give the driveline a purge .
This use to be a standard procedure at a dealership during oil changes .

When you take your truck in for an oil change , what does it say on the invoice ?

I can imagine you paid out of pocket for this which would be totally wrong in my opinion

Congrats and thanks for updating us. Sounds like you are working with a great dealer. From what I see on TW they are few and far between.

Most people don't realize that Toyota Care does not include lube service. I read about it when my truck was at about 20k miles. At a minimum, I grease at every oil change interval. I work my truck, so I usually grease the rear shaft about halfway between OCIs too.

Good news is that I did not pay out of pocket. They warned me that I may have to due to the lift but ultimately they did not charge me.

I think part of it had to do with the fact that the truck has been dealer serviced it's whole life and if the reason the u-joints early failure is a lack of lube they are mostly responsible.

The truck has an extended warranty to 100K but regardless this should have been covered under the standard 60k warranty. The truck only has 45k miles on it.

Anyways, hopefully this thread may help someone in the future that is dealing with vibrations.

Seriously I'm just learning how to work on this thing.
I know this thread is old as heck but I'm having the exact same issue you were having. Steady and pretty annoying vibrations at 50-70mph... I greased the driveline and that helped some, but I'm still getting the same thing. Truck is approaching 190k. Now I'm not much of a mechanic, and lately I don't have a good spot to work on my truck, since, unfortunately, I'm a city dweller (now). Is there any easy way to tell if a U-Joint is shot? I can crawl up under my truck and see/touch all of those. The similar thing is that when I take my foot off the gas the truck is smooth. Now it may be wishful thinking that the OP's solution could also be mine, but it does seem very, very similar. Also, truck is old. I have no idea when the last time the driveline was greased but it was dry as a bone when I did it last week... I think I'm gathering that not greasing the drive line will destroy the U-Joints quicker?

    Thanks
