Did not mean for it to come across as argumentative, but re-reading it, I can see how one might take it as such. Just legitimate questions. I have never had nor seen a car that drips condensation inside the cab by design, so it is difficult for me to believe the Tacoma was designed to do so, especially with a condensation drain hose in the engine bay.

Did he say where the condensation was coming from specifically?

Either way, a tablespoon would not account for the dampness under my carpet.

Sorry the only explanation he gave me was that because of the high humidity something under the dash that is part of the AC was sweating and caused the drip and that it was nothing to worry about. The water was only on the rubber mat not under it on the carpet. Drove it today with AC on and it did not drip as the humidity was much lower. Yes there was water under the truck too so it is draining out. If it does it again then I will get checked for sure. Thanks hope this explains it.

I had the same issue with my new 2019 TRD OR with a roof rack. Water pooled in the passenger floor mat and water sloshed out of the overhead control panel after a rain storm. Took it back to CarMax and they said the roof rack was the source. Resealed, waiting another rain storm to check!

A tablespoon of water is no big problem but it was pooling in buckets then I would worry.

Had my service on 7/2, roof rack/sunroof was the source and the factory was at fault. The dealer found that a drain hose had not been connected. Apparently there is a drain hose that runs down pass-side framing from roof area, not sure if tubes run down both sides or just pass but there ya go.

Is that only on the ones with a roof rack?
