antenna issue

    You guys have problems with your antenna coming loose after extended drives on the interstate? I found after driving about 3 hours between 70-90 mph my antenna will become loose...Maybe one day it will fly off, that would be far more hilarious then annoying.

    torque it down a little bit, maybe put some loctite in there

    If you do use locktite, only use a tiny bit so you keep conductivity. But ya, about every month or so I go re-tighten it. I'm gunna pick up a stubby pretty soon so hopefully that won't back off as much. Lot to be said for the antenna's in rear windows these days...

    Don't be afraid to get out the adjustable wrench. Mine had a tendency to loosen up because I tapped it going into the work garage. I used a wrench and it hasn't backed off yet.

    getting there....
    my 06 antenna got loose...dealer didnt tighten it down. i tightened it up and and never did come back loose. a little blue loctite will work, but only use a little.

    I did with the OEM, multiple times. I now have a stubbie antenna and it hasn't budged.

    Meh, I like your suggestions, but I think I'll just wait for it to fly off..you know, like I said it would be hilarious and give me a reason to get a stubby antenna.
