Are you sure it's the scion TC antenna....I did a search for the TC antennas and they do not look like the one in the pic of post 89.

This is the Scion tC antenna. steveh_2007 posted those "how to" links because the Scion tC antenna is not a direct fit on the Tacoma and those were examples of how to make it fit. :)

Top one on the blue truck looks to be s2000 to me. The bottom one on the silver truck is the Scion TC.

NO. the first pic is an antenna from an S2000 modded to fit a Tacoma. I posted that how-to thread to show people how to mod an OEM antenna to fit our trucks. S2K and tC antennas are modded the same way...

those are cracks in the rubber covering... It doesn't affect reception, but that is how I got the antenna for free from a tC owner.

Can you post a link to the TC antenna? I can't seem to find these exact antennas online.

    Thanks in advance!

I installed antenna from antenna-X....could not get it to fit snugly, looked like crap, and the reception was worse. The protective plastic film started peeling away within two weeks of installation. I threw it in the shitcan and put the stock back on. Reception is much better stock.

I was at the dealership today and looked at the TC antennas real close. They look real cool! The only problem may the they flexibility of the shaft. It is super super flexible. So while you are going down the road it may bend back a little (or a lot) but I'm sure it will pop back up once you park.

Has anyone with the antenna noticed it bending way down while going down the road?

    Thanks! :)

I've seen them on the tc going down the freeway and it doesn't look crazy bent. The upside is that it returns vertical when stopped and this would be a plus when offroading to bend instead of getting broken by some treelimb or something too.

On the TC aren't they tilted back anyways? Also since they are on the back of the TC they may not bend like they would on the front of a tacoma...different air flow patterns.

at hwy speeds, it does bend back a lot... but it goes back when parked. Mine doesn't start bending until about 50mph
