Anthracite FJ Trail Team (TRD) wheels on a 3rd gen?

Anyone happen to put some of the 16x7.5" FJ TRD wheels on a third gen Taco yet?

I'm looking at getting the anthracite (gunmetal like the picture, not black) ones on a white truck, but any color scheme would help me get an idea of what it would look like.

Also, does Toyota still have a bug up their butt about letting the anthracite ones fall into the hands of the unwashed masses that haven't bought a special edition FJ? I saw lots of threads on many forums (here included) about VIN number dickery going on, but not much talk recently. Is it because we all found ways around it, or has Toyota given up on that particular charade?

 

Bump... I've been wondering the same thing. Just bought my first Toyota last night, 2017 TRD ORDC. Is there any reason these wheels would not fit? Offset? Backspacing?

 

I have them on mine. I noticed some chopping on the fronts but not sure of it was the alignment/balance or rims...

 

What size tire are you running?

I have black ones with 265/70 R16 duratracs. love them.

 

I had them on my wife's FJ, one of my favorite OEM wheels and they're also FS lol (see sig below)

Just recently ordered a 5th as a spare for the swing-out carrier I have on order. They're a pain to get - the first four were sent "accidentally" by an online dealership after they said they'd have to cancel the order since I didn't have a VIN.. for the 5th one.. I might have googled around for an '07 FJ sale listing that included the VIN

Edit: currently running 255/85/16 on them, about to order 285/75/16
