Just so it's clear, the anti theft devices have gone up in price do to material's and shipping costs.
    3rd gens are now $25
    2nd gens are $20
They only come in raw metal.
    This includes shipping.
    Thx for all your support.

So reading that other post he says it takes 20 seconds to install. That means it takes 20 seconds to remove. If someone wants your tailgate they are going to get it. Doesn't matter what you install.

Only if the thief is carrying the proper tool,
Nothing is fail safe, they are not gonna fidget around for 20 seconds when they can steal your neighbors in 5 seconds

You can change out the screw head to something other than the torx

    Install in 20sec.
Drill out torx head so torx bit no longer fits.

How would you remove the tailgate if needed? Like from an accident?

Put on your crossfit shoes, it's time for the cult to speak their mind on the issue of how shifting makes their arm fat jiggle. There's also the issue of no driver grab handle because weak core is what happens in zero gains crossfit. I shift gears backed with Camry thunder and yoddle on about this manual trans is the new anti-theft device. Well it's in a third gen and that's the anti-theft device. It's like dating a fat chick no one is interested in stealing it.

    Too few to list.
Wouldn't a vice grip defeat that?

I don't think so. Depends on how steep the slope is. Vice grips can suck at angles.

I have this on my truck and I feel more secure with it on. I know I had to buy my torx set separately as they are not usually included in tool sets.

Ah, a valid point good sir. This would require sometime like 1,200sec for me to use tools the average thief isnt carrying around to remove it. Tools such as a cutting wheel, or welding a bolt onto the top of the drilled out bit and then removing it using that bolt head.
