So, since this isn't the classifieds nor the vendor forum, but a discussion forum, I feel ok asking this:

Does this offer any benefit compared to the cheaper band clamp method? Or the slightly more expensive than hose clamp but still less than this, McGard for $15?

 

Yes, the hose clamp is easily removed, not sure about the McGard, I'll have to look at one, but there is the fact that 1. it's made by a TW member
2. It's not about selling you something, it's more like defeating thief's and tweekers because I make about 50 cents on the 3rd gens, and about half of the 135 2nd gens that I've sold actually cost me a dollar.
3. Hand made by me, not some Chinese kid
4. 3/16s cold rolled steel
5. Out of all the ones I've sold only one didnt fit, not sure why but I sent another one and had the guy smash the defective one and toss it ( customer service)
6. If your not happy with it, for the life of it, I'll refund your money
If you need a couple more then let me know, ?

I'll be home. Was thinking of doing that myself, down Bass Pro Shops way sometime Saturday. Used to deliver mail in San Jose.

 

I'll be headed past Fremont around 8ish am but will be coming back through some hours later. If you go to bass pro, u basically go right past my hood

 

I go down 880 to Hamilton and cut across to Meridian, then take Curtner to Cherry and cut through the residential areas to BPS. My route was near Hedding and Winchester.

 

Some of our good friends just moved from Newark to Sacramento
