Got mine today. Quick rattle can and install. Just in time to go on a work trip to a town with a high crime rate. Thanks christian06!

Wow, that again, did you ever think that not everyone has a fine education as yourself?
I was on my own at the age of 14 years old and didnt get a chance to go to school as I had to get a job to survive, and find it offensive every time someone corrects my grammar, I'm now 55 years old and have done quit well for myself although my spelling is shit still.
Dont you have some kids to teach?

    Doesn't your spell check work????

If you truly want to be professional........polish up on the details like spelling.

To be honest, if you type device or devise, spell check dont pick it up. And everytime you reply with a correction or smart as comments my sales spike up, so thx my friend for the support.

I now offer powder coated Anti theft devices for $12 extra. I only have basic colors right now (red, light blue, matte black, green, yellow and clear, silver, and white) but will be expanding the spectrum soon. By no means do I claim that they are toyota matching colors.
Thx again for all your support.

The only reason to correct someone's spelling, grammar or punctuation is if you truly don't understand what they are saying. In this case (and most cases) there is no need for correction. Some people are very "particular" about what they are reading and think it's helpful to provide a correction. This is not a professional forum, it is casual. Lighten up.

It's ok, he obviously suffers from some OCD, the funny thing is that he was correcting my spelling but was never even interested in a Anti theft device, lol, go figure

Received my bracket and T-45 Security screw today, thanks to @christian06. Put a few coats of Rust-Oleum and then after a super quick and easy install....

@christian06 devised an anti-theft device. I like mine. So much better than the GateKeeper.

Every truck I have ever owned or driven has an easily removable tailgate. Once upon a time it was a feature, not a bug. Back when trucks were used as trucks you occasionally ran across a scenario where you didn't want a tailgate in the way of loading.

Prime example, we load pallets into our work pickups by forklift. If I'm not the one operating the fork truck, I usually insist on removing the gate before loading. Ive seen way too many careless operators slam the mast right into the gate then act surprised that oh hey, there's a truck there.

For my little tacoma however, anything loaded on my personal vehicle is getting loaded by hand. There are still situations where I could see a need for pulling the gate but they are admittedly rare. So for most people eliminating that feature for a bit of anti-crackhead security makes sense.

You can also add a fat dent to your tailgate to make it less of a target. Seems to have worked for me.
