So I woke up this morning planning on going on a hike hoping to scoop up a few deer and elk horns. While I was driving to the spot I was gonna start from I saw some crows gathered a little ways off the road and the curiosity in me took over. So I walked over to see what they were snaking on try and figure out what killed it.

I got over there and there was a MFing bobcat laying on the ground, still alive. So I ran back to my truck to get my phone but couldn’t find it again....

While looking for it I found decent chalky 4 point so that’s a plus.

Also that was only horn I found the whole day, even after walking 14 miles...

I did see about 300 elk though, all cows I’m sure either my luck.

Hope you enjoyed my book, tried to make it short and make sense. Hoping for better luck next time...

I consider even just 1 antler a successful hunt.

Right, especially in an area that gets pounded by everything.

I actually found 2, but the second one was so old all that was left of it was 8 inches from the base, so I left it out of respect haha.

Back it at again tomorrow I guess.

Here’s what I found today, still s little early for the elk, and there’s a lot more snow than I thought still.

I still haven't found any sheds here in Ohio.
But I did find this today...

    IMG_1047.jpg

I also found what appears to be the rest of him too. I'm guessing a hunter lost track of him.

Normally my 5 year old son is with me, but today I took my nephew so I hid it back in an easy to find spot so my son can stumble across it. I'm trying to keep him interested in this as a hobby, I figure that him finding it will help, I know it did for me lol.

There are none to be seen here, being southern Ohio. I downloaded about 1400 pics from my trail cams for this past week, and not a buck with antlers to be seen.

Going to hit a spot we found some old ones in bear hunting last year, maybe I'll get into them :bananadance:.
