Wow, Illinois isn't even that bad! Can't take sheds or mushrooms from state parks though.

My first legit shed hunt this year. I found a matched set plus one. I was only out for about 2 hours because we had a little ice storm last night and walking was difficult.B585D34D-0AF7-400F-B48D-907B4CB229F0.jpg2348CFD6-9A6B-4374-A50D-6B554BF8AD0A.jpg

thats dumb...I know some people make a living off of it but still. On one hand I can see why but on the other its like seriously why even meddle in it (gov).

The place I am thinking of is owned by the University and not a State Park per say.

Got out for a couple of hours today with my buddy and his nephew, found 1. We should be finding several with all of the late season food he had. We didn’t cover as much ground as we would have liked because it was very wet and muddy. Waiting till mid-week now, colder temps on the way and it should freeze up nicely. How bout you??

Worked the last 4 days but I am going tomorrow. It's a nasty wet mess out there but it should be easy to see where the deer have been.

Found some good sheds Saturday morning. This matched set came from a patch of cedars about 20 yards from the truck, I walked down the hill and jumped a half racker and decided to back out.
