A lot of people sell, a brown elk antler can go from 10$ to 15$ a pound, maybe more. Some people collect them.

If I were to ever find a decent sized horn I’d probably keep it.

Keep the big ones sell the rest. A truckload like I posted earlier in this thread will bring 3000 to 5000. Depending on how many brown antlers are in their.

Here in Pa for a piece of antler around 6 ins. By 1 in. Around ,wanted 35 bucks. I went down and cut mine up for my Lab. He likes them but not as much as his marrow bones the wife boils up for him. But antlers keeps him out of trouble. He likes putting rocks in his mouth, first Lab that did this I owned. He is still a pup and next month he can say goodbye to his balls. Hoping that will take some of the starch out of him. My Vet recommended waiting till he is a year old, something about it helps with hip deplasure. But I can see why antlers being worth big bucks

Thanks...I spend a lot of time looking for them, I have about 300 or so boxed up. The ones I find on my buddy’s farm stay at his cabin, that’s probably another 30-40.

Beautiful racks and the mounts look great..........I used to be a bow hunter in my day. That was when compound bows were illegal here in Pa. so all my deer were taken with a re curve. This is going back now to 1973

I started with a recurve in about 1974 and have gotten to watch the evolution of the compound and what a transformation it’s been.

Yes now it is all big bucks. I think the first compound was Allen. My friend who I bow hunted with bought one, even though he could not hunt with it, he was shooting it at the Archery Club. I was into, but now no more, my hands and feet are gone, I was a construction electrician and my body took a beating through the years. I also was a guitar player but that is no more. Soon I will be selling off my herd of guitars and my son will get his picks. Time does not stand still for anyone....Thanks for sharing............
