Antlers Shed Hunting

This is the one he shot but didn’t find until he was shed hunting. This was last year not this year. This one scores 206 7/8.

 

at least he found it...thats a buck of a lifetime....at least would be for me.

Helped my buddy take a work bench and a shelving unit up to his farm today after he got off work. We decided to take a short shed hunt and I found 3 which puts me up to 15 for the year.

 

My buddy and I took a 2 1/2 hour shed hunt this afternoon and found 7. I found 4 and he found 3, that puts me at 19 for the year.

 

Damn! I need to quit workin o/t and get out there. Good job!

 

Well a 7 hour walk netted me and my buddy 9 sheds today. We were hoping for a few more considering how much food he left this year. The 6 I found today puts me at 25 for the year and my buddy has 15. Still have a few places to check.

 

a 7 hour walk would have netted me a 7hour walk cool you guys finding them. I can only dream to find a few throughout the year...

 

Took a 4 hour walk today and found 3 more,I think somebody may have been there before me. Up to 28 for the year.

 

Need more boxes

 

Went out for 2 1/2 hours today and found 4 more. Up to 32 and trying to hit 40 for the year.

ours is melting fast but still too much to even get out on the ATV to the hills. Couldnt see anything even if I did go out.

I would love to convince the oldtimers here the benefit of this! They are crotchety...

 

Its a legit worry. We've picked up a few sheds in tractor tires. They didn't puncture all the way through luckily, but I know few people that have lost a tire to them.

 

I find a lot of sheds on property that I don’t have permission to hunt however, some landowners will let me shed hunt for that reason...keeping antlers out of tires!!

 

I wear new balance running shoes and walk down the fairway of my local country club with my dog. Private and wooded. It gets very little play. I casually pick up 2 to five shed antlers a day this time of year. Feel like I'm cheating on you guys.
