Not debating in the slightest. You jumped on me calling me an idiot because I thought it strange that you have no use to see 15-20 ft in front of your vehicle. :notsure:
Seriously, not obtuse. I've asked you repeatedly to show me where I said anything resembling what it is that you are stating about me. I guess it would be pointless to ask you to show me where I am so obtuse, as you've skirted posting any statement of mine proving your ineptitude concerning reading comprehension.

You still want to debate the fact that it's completely ridiculous to say the hood is too f'n big to see past when you drive ? LOL... seriously ?

Next time you drive, come back and tell me if you ONE TIME looked at the road directly in front of your truck out to 20 feet. If you said you did, then you're a danger to yourself and others on the roads.

Thanks for the insight. I'm also in Alberta. Never even considered the manual but I just might now.

Op don't waste your money on a limited get a sport and put leather and navigation in after it will be cheaper and the sport has better suspension.

I was going to drive one today while I was getting my servicing done, but the only trucks they had were base 2wd models. Evidently, most dealers around me are having significant trouble keeping any TRD tacomas or tundras on the lot. Also, no salespeople seemed interested in helping me.

I'm going to throw some gas on this fire: you can't see the ground roughly 18'-20' from your front bumper, anyhow. It's all blind area out there. ;)

On topic, I have a 2013 double cab TRD Sport. Checked out the 2016. Same space limitations in the cab (worse with the sunroof) and not enough in the way of upgrades to make it worthwhile.

It is frustrating that Toyota won't sell the double cab Off Road in Canada.

But yeah, once you add the canopy and on and on, you'll push $50k pretty quickly. Wanna nice Spruce Mica? ;)

Depends out in the woods I like to slowly spin 360 as I pee to make big circle. I bet it really perplexes wild animals when they come to a spot where I did that. The sent pattern must really confuse them.

When I'm parking in tight spaces in Hawaii....I'm actually looking at the parking space 1/2 mile in front of me.

On another note....I haven't driven a 2016 yet, but price-wise I'd rather buy a second gen and put the extra money into some basic aftermarket mods.

I drove the 2016 dcsb sport and really liked it except taking off from a stop. I felt like I needed to floor it to make it take off. Not knocking the truck,it was real nice but I just felt like it needed more torque down low. I went to the dealership planning on buying the 2016 that day but after driving it I decided to stick with the 2nd gen.

I sense a lot of complaints about the 3rd gen in the other section, but I understand that it is probably a small fraction of consumers complaining. With the price difference, I would rather save money and go with the 2nd gen for several reasons:

I don't want to be one of those consumers who found dissatisfaction in a new vehicle that I bought. I will second guess myself and become unhappy.
2nd gen will last you those ten years
It is a old and proven platform and has good credibility for being reliable

Yup. It's that good (manual trans and 3.5)
Don't even want to get new tires or molest the suspension.... but who am I kidding. :D:D
I kept my 265 / 70 /17s KO2s and I'm planning on doing a few trial tanks with them back on the 16' and see how bad the MPG hit is.
If your near Calgary PM and I'll give you the contact info for the salesman who helped me out on last 2 Tacos. Saved me some $$.
