So my 2013 Tacoma 4wd has gotten to where the rear suspension bangs or bottoms out real had on most any bump. I put new Bilstein 5100s on the rear thinking the old shocks had failed. Made no difference. My Tacoma has pulled quite a few trailers in it's day since we moved from the Midwest to south TX mostly via Uhaul trailers. Has anyone experienced fatigued rear leaf springs on their truck of this gen? It's generally just my wife and I in the truck and we rarely haul much of any weight anymore but it still bangs all the time. Before I go to the expense of changing leaf springs just to see if that's it (like I did with shocks) I was hoping I could hear from owners who've had a similar experience.
Update: Pretty sure I have cracked or badly fatigued rear leaf springs so they have to be replaced. I like the idea of the parabolic springs but the seller said that unless there is always at least 300 lb or more in the truck bed, the ride will be too harsh. Can't drive around with sand bags in the back so that's not doable. So I'm leaning towards OME standard spring rate springs. So my question to those who have had to replace their leaf springs, who has a success story and what manufacturer's springs worked for you?

^Yes leaf springs sag and crack on these trucks. Your leaf packs are original to the truck (i.e. 12 years old)? Should have been replaced years ago.

Have you check if your Tacoma is subject to the recall for rear leaf springs recall under warranty? I had mine replaced under an extended warranty from Toyota. Free!

There's a Toyota Website to enter your vin# to see if there are open recalls. Calling some Yahoo at a Toyota Dealership will sometimes get mixed results. Good Luck

the rear springs on these trucks are hot garbage and needed to be replaced the moment they rolled off the assembly line

"Extended Warranty" is not what I should have used to describe getting my rear leaf springs replaced. It was a Recall specific to an issue with the Leaf Springs. Might still be open?
