    Matters for work too.

My job box is a quite common, I can load it horizontally in an F-150 (65.2" Inside bed width) with plenty of room to wheel it around strap it down.

My personal truck is a Frontier (58.7" Inside bed width). The job box has to go length wise which doesn't leave room for much else. Fine for the size of the truck. Seems awfully tight for a brand new 1/2t design.

    If I wanted a Tundra, I would've bought a Tundra.

I'm super interested to see pricing and dealer mark ups. I have a feeling it'll be awfully close to a base raptor which will be a tough sell for me.

Optioned up F-150 Tremor MSRP is close to the base Raptor price. I'm guessing the Raptor has the best performing OEM shocks in the segment Raptor, TRX, Tundra Pro. Which should dictate which truck to buy at those prices.

I'd like to see what dealers are asking for the 22 Tundra Pro.

I’m guessing some states will see pros priced at $100,000+

you pretty much nailed it. The raptor is much more capable off road than the trx. I don't really need anything as capable as the raptor for a daily but when the pricing is within 5 grand or so for trucks like a trd pro the water starts to get pretty muddy.

Only two in my area, one for $57k and one for $62k both SR5 Sports, thats ridiculous, and you know they'll fetch MSRP or more.

    Nothing major yet.
I’ve entertained the idea buying one to replace my daily, but I also want a daily that’s a little fun to drive so I’ve looked at the new 86, new civic SI, or even the new 400z.

Toyota has a 2022 Tundrabuild configurator up on its site. So, I did a few builds. An SR DC 6.5 4x4 with the tow package (The only option and I couldn’t build without it) was about $41k. The 8 ft bed is available on the SR for about $1500. A SR5 CC 6.5 4x4 with the premium package that includes the 14” screen and air suspension was about $51.5 A Limited Cc 6.5 4x4 with air susp and pana roof was about $56.5. The config is a bit frustrating in that there are a series of premium packages with escalating prices, but the same description, so you don’t know what it includes.

    They are now 6-lug wheels.

The 2022 Tundra is definitely going upscale. I believe the base Tundra Pro will be priced roughly the same as a Ford Raptor which starts at $65k. The big selling point will be the increased fuel mileage with the hybrid drivetrain.

    Ew. No. That's 100x worse than a Tundra. ;)

I came from a Subaru Crosstrek. Was a blast to drive aside from the shitty CVT transmission. Have you considered an STI? Fuck that 400z noise tho...

Honestly tho, if those are what's being considered, a truck doesn't have any place being your daily. Enjoy the savings on gas, hell, maybe even go hybrid?

First test drive in Baton Rouge Louisiana

I test drove a 2022 Tundra today. TRD Off-Road SR-5 with no other options. It was the first one delivered to my local dealership and I was first on the list. It was red, and I want a black TRD Sport- Loaded, so I did not buy it. The MSRP was 52k. The one I have a build sheet for (black TRD Sport) is 56k.
It drove great. Lots of power! Smooth shifting with the 10 speed trans. Very smooth ride, and it didn’t feel too big on the road compared to driving my Tacoma. I was surprised by how close in size it was sitting next to my lifted Tacoma on 33” tires. The driver seat was comfortable and the back seat area seemed huge compared to the Tacoma.
I can’t wait till they get a more comparable truck to what I want- hopefully soon.
I was not able to hook my laptop to it to read the ECU for tuning because it was their only one and too many eyes were watching. But, the way it drove with good power and shifting, tuning it may not be a BIG priority. (Unlike the Tacoma)

Its growing on me, have the opportunity to buy a Lunar Rock loaded SR5 OR for $58k MSRP or a Black Limited for $55k MSRP, not in love with them but dont hate them either.

That’s the first I heard that. My wife’s Acura RDX has it. She don’t mind it. I don’t like it. Every time we take her car I drive I turn it off right away.

LOL. You might have a problem.

I would normally tell you to stop buying trucks, but you can actually make money right now.

I just had my OR one year anniversary. I can sell it for more than I paid. Fucking nuts these times are.
