The way the RV industry is booming, Toyota should not just offer a 1 Ton Tundra, but a 1.5 ton dually cab/chassis 4x4 for RV builders.

I honestly think they were 4 bangers, you could probably time 0 - 60 on a Sundial .

They also made the T-100 in 1ton. There is a couple on YT that put a camper on it and traveled all the way to Panama

This guy right here. Man would love to own one in decent shape and a manual. Awesome for work.

Tacomas payload is a bit of a joke, even current tundra is the same, so is my brother in laws sequoia. My ranger had more.

I don’t have issues though, as I’m not running heavy. Eventually I’ll add aluminum sliders and aluminum bumpers but that’s about it. Maybe a winch down the road.:)

I actually see people overload these 1/2 tons all the time with no issues and have come to the conclusion that TOYOTA maybe understating the capacity and the MPG and Ford does the opposite

Yeah not only is Sarah-N-Tuned good looking, she has great car reviews on her YouTube channel as well. Weird, funny sense of humour too.

Definitely. Had a yard of gravel in my taco and drove for about 45 mins through mountain passes. The engine did not care whatsoever,. The brakes? Not so much. I actually got pretty much same MPGs as empty, I did drive very carefully though.

I find it weird but not surprising that there is no industry standard for calculating GVWR. Its just what ever the manufacturer makes up, it seems.

Could be because of the brakes as @Junkhead pointed out

It’s probably the brakes and the frame itself. I could be very wrong though.
