I'm entertaining the thought. I love the Solar Octane option for the PRO.
My goodness. IF that color is used on the Tacoma I'm going to have to get one.

FYI, Just saw some Toyota documents for the 2202, that shows that it has a bed that is about 8 inches smaller on the width compared to the current gen if that changes the minds of anyone else. Might not for some people since it's still a bigger bed than the Tacoma, but for me it does. Going from a Tacoma to a Full size for a FWC topper style/Ovrlnd, every inch of the bed matters.

    2022 Inside Bed Width (in.)

    - Total (58.7)
    - Between Wheel Wells (48.7)

    2021 Inside Bed Width (in.)

    - Total (66.4)
    - Between Wheel Wells (50.0)

The Pro price will be hard to swallow. My 21 tundra pro was 55 and the new one will probably be 65?

That's interesting however those prices are negotiable (assuming the market comes back). Can usually get $10k-$12k off domestic sticker prices. For Toyota 10% is pretty standard so youre still looking at a hair over $50k for the 1794 Tundra. Thats really not bad considering the huge tech increase from the previous model

According the fuelly the F150 hybrid averages about 19mpgs so it seems to be on par with the competition. I was hoping for something more solid in the 20s. The Tacoma unmodified can basically get 20s

Lots of assumptions here. I wouldn’t expect any discounts for another year, then who knows.

There were earlier posts suggesting single digit msrp increases which clearly made no sense given how much toyota added to the truck and where the market is going.

tacomas don’t average 20, fuelly has them around 17-8.

would be interesting to see where tundras land. But I would assume 20 average at best which is frankly good considering how giant and heavy they are.

That’s because most tacos are modified, including mine. If driving conservative, stock taco can get 20s no problem, highway can do 23-24 easily.

OTD people will be paying $100,000 for the 3rd gen Tundra TRD Pro, if not 100k before taxes and fees. 2022 Raptors MSRP for 85 to 110+ depending on option pkgs.

If I didn't have a second car in the garage I would not be in a Tacoma and would have a full size. I would look at the new Tundra

Where's the dude who thought he was getting a Pro for less than $60k? lol. Ya not happening, this was forseable, they added all the tech the domestics have, of course they are gonna price similarly. And in this market and what is forecasted into next year being supply issues, dont expect a discount anytime soon. I finally told wife I'm just gonna build up my cement and in 5 years reassess.

    I didn’t say Tacoma’s average 20. I said they can get there.

I get 20 consistently, but I'm stock and I commute 50 miles hwy into city for work. Not hard I agree, and I have a lead foot.

Thought about it, but would hate to give up having the manual transmission.

I won’t be one of them. Since my 21 LunaRock Pro is paid for. That why I wanted the last year tundra V8.
