    Hello,
I would like to change the Valve Cover Gasket [Part Number: 11213-75030] for my Tacoma.
    Tacoma 2002 PreRunner - 2WD
    Engine: 2.7 - 4 cylinder
    102,000 miles on it.

Any advise before jumping on it?

Do i need to change "PLUG SEAL GASKET"?
Do i need to change the Injectors?
Do i need to change the Fuel Filter ( It's under the injectors - It's black color size of cup attached to the block of engine in my truck)

    Thanks

I did this job last summer - except I have the 3.4, but I think this piece of advice transfer over well.

As you're digging your way down to access the valve covers and pulling things out - ask yourself...

Does this part look to be in good condition? Is it cheap and easy to replace while I'm in here?
Look into doing a thorough cleaning of your throttle body. Also check out your Idle Air Control Valve - it's easy to clean and can help with high idling issues if you have any.
By "Plug Seal gaskets" I'm guessing you mean the gaskets for your spark plugs? I would say, yes.

Not sure about fuel injectors or fuel filter. Someone else with 3RZ knowledge will need to chime in.

    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Plan to take your time and do it early in the day. I did mine about 3 months ago. The gasket was like hard plastic. I had to pry out the seals for the spark plugs. Make sure you torque the nuts down to the correct specs. As far as the throttle body, that needs to be removed to clean it properly.

I replaced my injectors with my own refurbished ones on my 95 3RZ a few months ago.
I pulled out my injectors and sent them to motorwest to get analyzed and refurbished. The injectors weren't too bad for 238K. So you might be ok not changing injectors at 102K.

I would change the fuel filter though.

Valve clearance check/adjustment would be called for as far as the maintenance schedule goes.

I’m in the process doing this but with the 3.4,

I did pull the injectors and sent them in to be serviced.

It’s a slow process and a good portion of my time was cleaning all the parts.
    Cam seal locations,
    Half moons and location
    Valve covers degreased
Removing all the old gasket material.

Replace whatever you can if it has a lot of miles,

So much easier to do that now.

I decided to have the valve covers painted while I’m waiting for the injectors to come back.

LCE has new painted covers for the 4 bangers
