Any Barstow Area People??

Hey all. I'm going to be in Barstow for work (Marine base) from the beginning of August until at least the end of November. I'm coming down from the Sacramento are so I'm a Cali boy. I'm hoping there are some TW people in the area that would be interested in showing a stranger around and hanging out every now and then seeing as how I won't know anybody there.

My Tacoma is stock as hell and it's my company vehicle. That means I can't really do any wheeling or stuff like that but, I can drive out to a camping spot or get together or something like that. I like the desert and could probably get away with driving mellow roads out there on the weekends.

You have a couple desert races too.

9/20 and 9/21 out in Lucerrne which is a quick cruise down hwy 247 from Barstow.

10/25 is the Powder Puff race in Barstow by the outlets.

 

Are you going to the KC Highlite 300?

 

not sure yet.... we may have a booth at the Sand and Sport Show that same weekend...

 

If there's races coming up I'm definitely interested in going!!

 

August and September are generally quiet months for races in Barstow...

The Lucerne race in September should be pretty good. It usually pulls some good racing action...

 

Well I should be around to go. I don't think I'll flying home that weekend. If I could meet up with some of ya'll that'd be awesome.

 

Yah, you should be able to meet up with some TW folks... There are always folks from here at the races...
