Hi, I've been thinking about getting some sliders, skid plates, and off-road bumpers, (ect.), for light to medium off-roading.

I don't want to add a ton of weight, but I want something to protect my truck from branches, stumps, rocks, and such.

I don't want to void any warranties or do anything undo-able, so I don't want to weld, cut, or trim anything just yet.

Is there anyone who has researched this before or ordered parts for themselves, and care to share knowledge/experience?

One website is all you need: Mobtownoffroad.com ;)

Our sliders are arguably the strongest on the market and 100% no drill, bolt on. Ours can be used to their full potential without drilling because of how we engineered the way they attached. Here is why: http://mobtownoffroad.com/2015/11/18/what-makes-moboff-bolt-on-sliders-the-best/

Our skids are arguably the strongest on the market because they're reinforced and again, no drill, bolt on. BAMF makes 1/4" reinforced steel skids which will be stronger than our 3/16" reinforced steel but that comes at a cost, very heavy. So if you are truly doing light to medium offroading than our steel ones are more than enough.

Oh, and we are running a sale for a few more days. Use code Christmas2017 to save 15%.

If you have any questions, contact me, or our staff for help. @jowybyo @Lindsay @ Mobtown Offroad

We are still quoting 12 weeks, should be much less than that. We quoted that do to the Black Friday back log but we have already shipped many orders since then.

Lots of no-cut options for rear bumpers, front not so much unless you want a massive bumper (more weight). All bolt on sliders can be installed without drilling, but you will sacrifice strength. I could have installed my @allpro sliders without drilling and I think they would have held up just fine. I just would not have been able to use them to their full potential.

Thanks for the info! So if I'm understanding you correctly you could have bolted your sliders on but chose to weld them. So if I buy bolt on sliders now, I could use bolts for a while and then choose to weld them later on? To utilize their full potential?

Bolt-ons are just as good as weld on nowadays.

Mobtown has a full bracket that boxes the frame, best mounting solution on the market.

No. With AP sliders to get full strength you have to drill the underside of the chassis and thru bolt.

I bought weld-ons that you could have turned into bolt ons if you drilled. I liked the weld-ons because they were full customizable to my liking and, arguably, stronger than bolt-ons. Mine were also $280 shipped. A huge factor.

No welding. More along the lines of I could have used 2/3 of the bolts to mount my sliders without drilling holes and they would have been pretty solid at that point, but I used all of the hardware and now they are able to be used to their full potential. If you aren't planning on bashing up against any rocks I think they would be fine without drilling and you say you don't want to do that at this point. I think you could get any set you want if you aren't going to be hard on them and once you decide to start cutting away at your truck that extra hardware will be there real for you to completely install the sliders.

Exactly this. But from what I saw with mine they were pretty stout as is without the holes... Just not as strong as they could be.
