Any cigar fans out there?

Give perdomos a try since your getting back in the game. Personally i stay away from the 10 dollar and more cigars since they don't tend to be any better unless we are getting to davidoffs

 

I don't think I've ever spent more than $12 on a single smoke ever.

I picked up a Acid sampler pack with 10 different ones for $44.00 last weekend.

This one I liked so much I got another for this evening.

I rarely have an hour to dedicate to a smoke.

The last one of these I had went about that long.

Picked up a box of CAO Sopranos Associate cigars for $90 shipped from cigars international a couple weeks ago. Sweet box and a really good smoke. They were 50% off. The box looks like a car trunk paint and all. The inside was leather.

Just finishing off a box of Hoyo de Monterrey Excalibur Presidente Maduros. They were a huge hit on my fishing trip to AK. I have been smoking Hoyos for about 10 years and this one is now my standard. About $5 a stick in box quantity, but as impressive as any $10 stick I've smoked.

 

What are you guys using to humidify your humidors?

 

I've started using those packets now. Less refill than a humidification sponge.

 

I am using Cigar International CI Crystals and I am struggling to get my new humidor up to 70%

 

I like them and its OK as I have one only once a month. I wouldn't mind one a little cheaper in price but still a dark type that is quality

Did you prime it? I lightly wiped mine down with DI water several times a day when I first got it. The wood will initially soak up a lot of moisture, so you can't just stick crystals in it and expect it to hit 70. Mine floats around 65 here in MO and the cigars are just fine.

 

I primed it once...it has been sitting around 60% after I calibrated the hydrometer....

 

just wipped it down again, left the damp rag in there along with the crystals....it should be good to go in a few hours thanks!

Looks like be same humi I have. Don't leave the wet rag on the wood - it could warp the cedar liner.
