not to rain on your parade but be weary, something like 80% of "cubans" you get in the carribean (ESPECIALLY the cheap ones) are fake. Think about it, there is ABSOLUTELY no lack of demand for the amount of supply so they would not ship to random sketchy carribean dealers. The fakers target tourist too lol. But most of the time on a cruise or at the beach, the quality of the cigar does not matter, its the experiance as a whole

Are you an economist? Because you make a very intelligent and valid point about supply, demand, and marketing. :)

    Oh.....my 3rd love in life.....cigars!

I keep 5 humidors and have a couple of hundred cigars.

    What I keep in stock:

    Diablo - daily smoke
Opus X - I HORDE THESE....I SEE I BUY (if they are close to retail) Have about 40 in stash
Cuban Cohibas - Siglo IV or VI......a buddy of mine & split a box at least once a year

I keep a few God of Fire, Fuente Sharks, Between the Lines, Work of Art's, various Cubans (vendors are out there selling the real things....not as hard to find as you might think)

I also buy a few smokes whenever I go to the cigar shops....daily stuff...$5-$6 each.
All of the above (except Diablos) are super premiums......$13+ a stick

Yeah I've been smoking cigars about 6yrs.....I know a thing or 2 about smokes :D

If you buy from an AUTHORIZED Opus X dealer....they're not ($11-$15)

Worth every penny at that price....I buy all I can though most shops limit you to 2 of each size.

Now if you go to the cigar auction sites they'll sell $20-$35

But once you try one :D you're hooked!

personally i thought the opus x were not as good as i expected. I traded for one and thought it was not worth the money they sell for. I feel the same way about ashtons. My friend smoke basically only $15+ ashtons and I have found rocky patels, perdomo's etc that are much better.

Has anyone tried the Cohiba Maduro (first maduro ever to come out of cuba) I have two in my humidor but am waiting for a momentus time to smoke one.
