My current setup. Loving the Mochamaster but need to step up my grinder game. Also use a French press from time to time. I’ve been a BRCC customer for a couple of years and have always been pleased with the products.

Lol, it’s a conical burr but it’s consistency is pretty bad.

I got tired of mediocre coffee so I decided to grind my beans. I wanted a conical burr grinder, without breaking the bank, so I got the Baratza Encore. I use mostly Peetes Coffee Major Dickensons and a pour over. Sometimes a french press. I'm still chasing that perfect cup...

I’ve been eyeing the Baratza, I am really looking for something that will grind directly into my brewer basket to save on mess.

I’ll play along - here’s my set up. A Rancilio grinder and a Moccamaster drip coffee maker

Yeah, if I’m not mistaken the Rancilio above grinds directly into to filter basket, one less thing to clean would be right up my alley.

I was worried about static electricity and the ground coffe making a mess as well (from my blade grinder days). I did some research and found the best way is to let it sit in the grinder bin for a few minutes after you grind. I guess the static electricity dissipates? Seems to work just fine for me.

I've had it for a few months now and I just brush out the bottom where the bin sits, haven't cleaned anything else, and no mess.

I usually have 1-2 a day. But I do only pour over and now espresso. For espresso you HAVE to have a good grinder

If you don’t do espresso, and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a grinder I recommend the Baratza Encore. I’ve had mine for 2+ years. I only just got a new one because I got in to espresso and the encore doesn’t cut it. Need the stepless adjustments.
Like I said above, I’ve had my encore for 2+ years. It will still be used daily by my girlfriend for the drip and for any pourover cups I do. My new Eureka Mignon Specialita is only for espresso because I’m not going to try and dial this thing in daily. It took me about 10 pills to get the grinder dialed in

I hear ya. I wonder if Headstong would take my Rancilio in on trade? I could really use some HD Dakars

Are you in every thread?! Lol. I had the Big Bang and it's pretty good. I've worked my way through most of their medium amd dark roasts but always cone back to Major Dick. They had a limited edition coffee last time I was in that was advertised as having blueberry tones and offered samples. Might be the first time in history that I actually tasted exactly what they described. I could taste blueberries. Kinda weird in coffee.
