The Sirens was surprisingly not as bad as most of theirs. Dress it with some sweet foam and a little caramel or mocha topping and it’s drinkable. Lol

Ironically my buddy back home has one of those and it makes some of the best espresso I've ever had. Manual dual boilers are where it's at. The rotary pump is a nice touch too. I had a few of the Ulka pumps in Breville machines go bad. I upgraded one to a fully brass pump and never had issues again.

Warm Budweiser is drinkable. It's still shit though. Iol

My go to roaster is Black Sheep in Bishop. It's close and the light/medium roasts are some of the best I've had.

Lol exactly. You have to drown it in add ins to make it drinkable. You will enjoy happy mug beans. I have yet to have a bad bag from them.

It was still pretty good with just steamed milk. Might try a shot tonight and see how it really is.

Spro really isn’t a good way to judge a bean. Pour over is the way to go. I pretty much only make pour over in some sort. I don’t make a lot of spro anymore and with my new job starting in a few weeks it’ll be even less.

I don’t have time in the mornings to make a pour over. Usually a double shot with steamed milk and a big cup of drip to go. I still need to buy a decent grinder for the drip machine. Gotten lazy and been buying preground for it. Bah that’s just something to drink on the way to work. Everything at the house starts with double espresso shots when I have time to sit and enjoy a cup. They could have left the single button off for me.

 A pour over takes less time than making a damn espresso and steaming milk.

shit. You could make a pour over AND an espresso drink at the same time.

start pour over. bloom for 45 seconds. In those 45 seconds pull your shot. Do your next pour (depending on your recipe. I do some that require a pour every 10 seconds, but when I’m lazy I do a 2 pour: a 60g bloom pour and then a 240g pour and stir then drawdown). While your drawdown is happening, steam your milk. I just solved your issue. You’re welcome.

I do the pour over but never heard of this procedure. I guess I need to look it up. I don't steam my milk. I just hit the heavy cream with a frother in the cup before drawing down. BTW.. I use a clever cup and allow it to steep for @ 4 minutes.

You wouldn’t use the same method I do with my v60 as you would with a clever dripper. It’s a different brewer and requires a different pouring method. I think the clever is more like a French press in that you do a single pour, let it steep for 4 mins then drain it by setting it on your cup or carafe. The v60 is more like a drip machine in that you pour it and water comes out the bottom instantly, there’s no steeping
