Thx. Keeping it stupid simple for now just for cleansing but looking to get into some exotic brews later on.
It certainly seems to have benefited some recent skin issues as a result of my liver either making to much, or not enough bile to store in my gallbladder.

Ha, there are SO MANY great ways to make coffee.
My favorite easy way is stove top espresso. I prefer the stainless steel Bialetti myself, but....
Chemex, made right, can be sweet, literally.
My drip is a Technivorm, and have considered one of the recent Bonavita machines.

I stick to the recommendation of really hot, not boiling, water for any hot brew. Just off of boil.

    I grind just before brew.

Of all my brewers I have, my Chemex is by far my favorite and most consistent cup

I used this brew guide for the Chemex and Hario lately.

I got a Hario scale, it has a timer included in the display.

I’ll take a look. I need to buy a new (better) scale which is in my plans for homebrewing beer anyways. Also need to get a gooseneck kettle. I just use a regular water heater one now and it’s not as consistent as I’d like

I have a Hario kettle. Bona Vita kettles are nice, too, I hear.

Most stuff by hario seems to be good. I have a bona vita drip machine that makes a real good cup as well. It’s one of the shower head designs.

I thought about replacing mine with a BonaVita maker, but it is not really any better than the Technivorm I have.
BonaVita has a feature for compensating for the bloom of fresh roasted coffee.

Ya, i have mine setup to do that. It dumps some water, let’s bloom for 30 seconds I think and then continues. I usually start it and then go take a shower and get ready for work and then transfer to a thermos before heading out.

Decided to make a Chemex cup this morning. Used 6 cup - single serving from this guide. Damn that was the best cup I've gotten out of my current beans.
