Any damage pulling myself out with this hook?

    Step tubes,Window tint, HomelinK rear view mirror, changed the entune image screen Rear Differential Breather Relocation Extended AC condensate hose KB Voodoo tailgate cap Redline Tuning QuickLIFT ELITE hood lift system.
    I also carry a strap that I could use between loop and hook at the same time for recovery.
    Is there a true recovery hook for the drivers side?
    I assume that loop would need to be cut off.

    Seems like that's a pretty piss poor design flaw, or at least a lack of forethought by engineering...

    I was always under the impression that the loop was designed and placed in that location for shipping purposes of the truck, not for any recovery. To clarify further, shipping on ships, boats, semi-trucks, etc. The average Tacoma owner (people not on TW) probably doesn't even know its there unless they are looking under the truck for some reason...

    ^this guy speaks truth. If you look in the back of your owners manual, it will list all tie down points for shipping. Ever wonder what all the oval holes in your box frame are for??? You guessed it, chain ends hook in there to secure your vehicle for its trip from the factory to the car lot. It's to prevent this.
