Got rear ended, totalled a small ford escort. She hit me around 30mph, I was going around 1mph- waiting for the car in front of me to turn off of the street we were driving on.

Ended up, having the bed flex into the cab- denting it and chipping the paint. The spare tire carrier bent into the bed from the underneath, denting upward and chipping paint. Also the bumper was dented- and the mounting brackets were toast.

Well I decided that it was mostly aesthetic damage- some that didn't really bug me that much.

I went forward from there & built my own rear bumper.

Also pulled the trigger on this setup!

Installing on the 1st of Dec. STOKED. Definitely pays to have good insurance.

Trail stripes for dayzzzzzz. Also I need to invest in some sliders this winter. I have a few nice dings on the lower cab from rocks flipping up driving down rocky trails at work. I also had the misfortune of backing up into a stump not behind me but behind my RR passenger door. I got an estimate of $2800 and $3000. The damage isn't that extensive so I'm going to look into something this winter while I'm laid off for the season :D after all I think there will be a lot of DIY with this truck

my rear bumper has a small dent on the driver side where a lady in a Dodge backed into me in the parking lot of IHOP... irritates me every time I wash the truck and see it...

lol :D I work in a scrap yard and I see a few Tacos messed up like that every once in a while and it sort of breaks my heart... then I'm like "oooh, what can I get off this one for myself!". In the case of that one, a full e-locker rear and and the dash button to go in my 06 Prerunner

I backed over a rock, then backed into a parked truck... dang backup camera only works if you look at it.... got thing that came out is I replaced the bumper with a paint to match instead of chrome and while I was at hit had the shop paint an AM grille BSP as well. Used the Insurance check for that.

I can't believe that totaled it. And to think it was just parked sitting there. They'll find this idiot who did this. Well, congrats on the truck. Almost looks the same as the older one.
