I had a 2013 double cab long bed 4x4 and kept it a year and traded it off for a F350. Now Im driving longer distances to work and a few other things that have got me thinking about going back to a Tacoma. Are there any differences at all? I had a SR5 with back up cam and tow package. Looking to get about the same. Not interested in the 16's....always scared of a first year production run. thanks

Dont think there is much of a difference between the two but others will chime in.

No the F350 isnt too much truck and its a single wheel 4x4. I grew up in big trucks but always had a Toyota to boot for the most part. I work in the oilfield and get a truck allowance. The allowance doesnt cover the full cost of the F350 payment but will cover the Tacoma....not to mention the cheaper fuel (not so much now) but better mpg, cheaper maintenance, better reliability. We are trying to move to Colorado and trimming the fat for lack of better words to save up cash for down payment. Everything that I have that requires more than the Toyota to pull is on the for sale lot.

No auto dimming mirror / no actual ambient temp gauge and backup camera in the head unit vs the mirror.

Ive got used to the backup cam being in the NAV unit on my F350 so thats a plus that they moved it. The rest I could care less about. Now just to decide if I want a short or long bed. You cant get a locker in the longbed can you? Or any of the TRD stuff......?

I just found out that the oil pan drain plug is in slightly different location. My skid on my 2013 doesn't line up with the one on the 2015.

The clock is no longer below the touch screen, it's now displayed on the screen. And they replaced the old spot with the Tacoma badge, which I personally love, although I wish it displayed temperature or something

Trust me I was as surprised as you but I test fit a skid on my truck (2013) and the drain plug lined up. Sent it to a customer with a 2015 and it doesn't line up. Not sure why but it doesn't

I have to agree. Love the look of the 15 dash, at first I wasn't sold on the lack of clock and the addition of the Tacoma badge.
The temp gauge would have been nice though. I have the compass on the rear view mirror would have been nice to have a temp. up there as well or a way to switch between the compass and the temp.
