Yeah. Supply & Demand + location makes a big difference. I notice there are a lot more CA people who upgrade regularly in the classifieds section. The weather is great all year round out there.

For shits and giggles I just looked at the dealer and you could buy brand new 2023 front and rear shocks and all the components to assemble the front coil overs for cheaper than 750$.

Tried to post in the classifieds on here but you have to have 50 posts. Also looking for center cap(s) for 3rd gen stock wheels.

FB marketplace isn't a terrible place to buy these takeoffs. But you have to be prepared to walk away if the deal doesn't look perfect. I bought a full set of takeoffs including the UCA and rear springs for 400$ and it was obvious from the wear that they weren't on the vehicle more than a couple thousand miles. The most dirt/dust on them was from sitting around the guys garage. It was a nice freshen up for my 100,000 mile 2015.

With your weight additions I would really not recommend the stock rear leaf springs.

About the OEM Bilsteins not being 4600's....I guess. But I can tell you they are a much better shock than the blue hitachi that come off the sports.

The problem with the stock rear springs is that they will eventually go flat...or worse than flat. If you are adding a bunch of weight I would start with non toyota leaf springs.

The question is are you lifting your truck?

For reference, I did an AAL for the rear of mine for the few times a year that I tow a trailer or load up with camping gear, and its been just "OK". It works for my needs, but definitely doesn't have a lot of capacity. If you're running weight all the time (such as a shell), I would recommend a new full leaf pack of some kind. Yes, its more money, but I think its the appropriate setup when you have permanent load.

My guess is you'd sag pretty quickly if you go that route, and you'll wind up spending for a full leaf pack, anyway.

The front already has a lift, looks like enough to level it out with the rear but just a spacer lift. I am considering a rear leaf pack given what I have read, just trying to decide which one. Theres a lot of options out there. Also, got a full OEM 3rg gen set for $100 lightly used from someone local. Put the rears on last night.

Not planning on a lift. I gotta keep the truck lowish so I can fit in my garage with the go fast camper on it. What springs would you recommend for no lift but increasing the load in the rear?

Anyone know of a worthwhile rear leaf pack that will leave me no more than 1" over stock height when carrying 400 pounds consistently, 550 when camping? Seems like all of the leaf packs I've seen result in up to 2 inches of lift. Trying to avoid doing anything to the front end.

I saw a post on FB market place for 5100's and front coils. It was definitely purchased fir a 2nd gen but the seller says it will work on 3rd gen is this true?
