Ive heard that the EGCS bushing is more common if an issue at 2” of lift/level or more.

With bilstein 5100’s set at the 4th notch I should be at about 1.6”... am I likely to avoid the EGCS bushing issues with this set up?

    Thanks

Every truck is different but when I did them at 1.75 on my 15 it arrived fairly quickly.

It's best to get it done while you're doing the front suspension. That being said...I'm on 5100s with 885 coils. I have around that amount of lift with no issues so far..roughly 12k miles. I still planing on putting in that bushing though.

5100s with 887 coils and don't have the vibes... yet. Bought the bushing when I bought the lift just never installed it. Around 4k miles since the lift. Its honestly a case by case basis

Just installed bushing on a stock 17 SR, just never know. Also installed bushing on a 07 and a 14 that started having vibes after lifting. The vibes on the stock 17 was worse than the other 2 after lifting them. Just a roll of the dice

I put my lift at 1.5-1.75” in the front, had vines, put in ECGS, vibes gone

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
I set mine on the 4th setting and after the 265/70/17 I got about 2 3/4 up front, running a one inch block in the back. I was worried about needing to replace mine later but great advice was given here by many as to doing it while the lift is going on. 4k miles on the lift and bushing and all is well .Do it now and thank us all later.

Just do it while you have the suspension out

If you care about ride quality, why dont you upgrade the coils to 888 or 887 while you are at it....relatively cheap upgrade for noticeably better ride...and do the ecg while you are at it. Over 20k and no probs

I didn't notice too much increase harshness in ride quality when setting mine at 4th notch but I'm really curious to see how my ride quality changes when I swap out my oem coils for the 888s. Still waiting for delivery on them and my Dakar HD pack.

44k miles of 4th notch, no vibes other than what was there already. My truck has always vibrated around 70-80mph, shakes the passenger seat like turbulence.

I dont know what your setup feels like but a separate coil to do the lifting would soften the ride

    Lots of sail boat fuel
No bushibg, no problem. Guessing it's a truck to truck basis
