    Taking a Hydrology class this semester and this is a question on a HW assignment.

    Need to find:
    Volume of ET (evapotranspiration) in in/m3

    given:
    time- 1 year
    area- 8.0 km^2
    precip- 750 mm
    stream discharge= 1.06x10^6 meters^3

    question states:
    "The catchment is drained by a stream, and a continuous record of stream discharge is available. The total volume of surface-water runoff for the year, determine from the stream discharge record, is 1.06x10^6 meters^3"

    I know you use the water budget scale which is; (disregard ground water)
    0=P-ET-Rs

    what can seem to figure out is how to find surface run-off or Rs?

    any help would be greatly appreciated.
