Yeah i know. thats a good shot of the difference.. I liked the 75's but I did feel like i should have re geared if I wanted to stay with that size. Long trips it was horrible!!
The 33" KO2's im loving right now. Its good to have my power back and maybe some mpg's back.

For sure! I am supercharged so around town the truck is still very much driveable with the 75s. Offroading though I definitely want to regear, you can really feel the difference when trying to crawl around!

Aren’t your dads wheels 16”? If they are truly 17” where do I find that style?

They are 17s. I am not sure the exact type but they are methods I think. Center cap fell out awhile ago.

Edit actually looks like they are some thpe of kmc wheel. I will confirm tomorrow if I can.

Haven't been on TW in a while but I should update that I was finally able to get the rear tires to rub at full flex while out crawling. I had to REALLY stuff them in a dynamic manner but they did make contact with the front of the rear wheel well. It's definitely trimmable without cutting the outside of the flare.

    Still lovin the 34's...

Love it- any regrets not getting something more aggressive? I want the wildpeaks for price and because I do spend a lot of on road / daily driving time. I've got ST Maxx now which have been great offroad but hate on road handling.

I have the wildpeaks in this size and so far no complaints to anything I’ve thrown at them.

I can’t complain. It’s mainly my daily driver but it Gets off road a few times a month. I wanted the ridge grapplers bc they’re mean looking but I couldn’t swallow the price. Loving these wildpeak so far

Considering this tire size for my next build, will be on OEM trd pro 17x7" wheels. the t4r TRD wheels. planning bp-51 kit with aftermarket upper control arms. maybe a 1/2" spacer in front as well. Planning a CmC and looks like some rear fender trimming. hoping to not have to trim all the way around the front fender. You guys think i'll be good? deciding between this and a 255/80/r17 tire.

I’d be careful with the oem trd pro wheel since it is so narrow. There are replicas that are wider and should fit the 285 better to the rim.

Pfffft, naw. Billions of guys run 285/70R17 on those wheels, no problemo. And these 75's are technically narrower than the 33's.

Also, Discount Tire lists a 7" wheel as in spec for this tire on their website. I'm pretty sure Discount Tire is wrong, but, still...... =D

I know this is about spare tire fitment but I had some questions about the 285/75/17. I am currently running 2.5in lift up front with a 1.5 all with bags in the rear on a DCLB 2013. If I go up to 887s on 5100s would I be able to run my fender flares up front without trimming them? I believe I have 0 offset. All the shop is doing in mounting my tires. All fender liners and front flares have been removed. Pinch weld has been taken care of. The CMC hasn't been completed yet because I want to see how the tires fit. I know a CMC is inevitable; I just didn't know how aggressive it needed to be. If anyone has gone through this before on a 2nd DCLB with a similar lift let me know.
Talk to me people! I think I'm over thinking this but I also have a stock bumper and didn't know if its going to fit.
