I have a chance to buy some almost new 265/70/16 Nokian Rotiiv At's at a good price but I'm not at all familiar with them.

I was considering a set of Blizzaks to run on my '15 TRD OR AC 4x4 in the winter in western pa. Would the Nokian's be as good a winter tire as the Blizzak's?

Short answer is NO. Nokians are a budget A/T tire. The Blizzaks are a dedicated winter tire.

They would not be as good in winter as dedicated winter tires. If you need dedicated winter tires, don't rely on an AT with a snowflake. Those are probably good all weather tires though - just not super aggressive as far as AT's go. Are they the new style or their old style? They changed recently.

Nokian isn't a budget brand at all. They make some of the best (and most expensive) winter tires available.

Around here their A/T's are pretty cheap in comparison. I'm not familiar with their winter tires. My point was the same, the Nokian A/T isn't going to be as good in the snow as the Blizzaks.

Yeah, the Nokian Hakkapeliitta series is an amazing winter tire. I'd take them over Blizzaks any day. I never thought the AT's looked too hot though. I just know they're not on par with Kelly and Mile Munchers and all those budget companies.

I run the nokian's as a winter tire and am totally happy with them.
The blizzak's are probally the best, but are very soft, great traction but fast wearing.
