the best bet you have is to replace it. if it is torn then its got stuff in it, sand, water and stuff. you can get new ones with a lifetime warranty from autozone for kinda cheap.. i got mine for about 60 or 70 bucks..

x2, and it would be just as much work to install the new boot as the slip mod would be

welp pops is gettin it fixed tomorrow with an oem. I'm sure its gonna ride up or tear again so what would your guys suggestions be? i can either put these on next time they blow or get whole new shafts but that wont fix the vibe issue. I guess i could get new shafts and these boots and through the high angle boots on the original cvs to swap out when the replacements blow out. on that note does anyone know what cv i should get? oem are strongest but i've heard of places charging 599/pair when i can get a replacement for about 70 a piece

i dont right now but might be able to get one up. this first boot is about 2k after i put my lift on. It may have the added factor of being 100,000 miles old as well, but i do alot of highway driving where it vibes a little

Put auto zone's on the truck, and rebuild your factory joints. Then you'll always have joints to put in the truck. Oem are stronger, but 599 is rich for me.
