Here is my 1907 Winchester Model 1897 take down 12guage. It was my Wife's Great Grandfathers and was handed down to me a few years ago.

I’ve got an M1 Garand that looks like it never saw daylight and a wartime 30/30 with the gold plugs in the stocks. These came through the FiL. I would like the Springfield trapdoor 45-70 my grandfather has but it looks like there’s gonna be a squabble when he passes amongst the 4 children. The one uncle that deserves it would maintain it as well as I would. So no love lost.

I have a few that were passed down from my father-in-law. This is my favorite - A WWII Belgian Hi-Power made under contract to the German Government during its occupation. These pistols were preferred over the Lugers and P38s and were issued to SS and Airborne units. This one has it's original capture documents from when it was brought back to the US after the war.

    My all time favorite shotgun.

My dad owned many '97's over the years, and I grew up hunting doves, quail and rabbits in the Mojave desert with my dad and those '97's. When he died a few years ago, he left one to me, and one to my cousin. I don't have a picture, but it looks almost identical to the one at the top of this thread.

My dad left me four guns.

    Winchester Model 1897 12 guage
    Sako .338 Winchester magnum
    Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 magnum
Ruger Bearcat Single Six in .22lr and .22Magnum

I have a 1903 Colt Hammerless pistol that was my stepfather's issue sidearm when he served in WWII. Not the usual sidearm for an enlisted guy, but he was a courier and carried sensitive documents. His battalion commander gave him the pistol to carry concealed.DSC_0042.jpg

For it's age, that is the cleanest gun I've ever seen, pristine condition, even in museums. Very nice.

The top revolver was my dad's S&W mod 17 K-22. He gave it to me a few years ago. Said he wanted see me to enjoy it before he died. I think he bought it in the 1950s.

1903 is the model number, because it was designed and first manufactured then. This is a .32Auto caliber. There is an identical pistol in .380, it is designated the Model 1908.

This particular pistol was manufactured in 1943, according to Colt's data on the serial number. Blued models are less common that Parkerized ones, and military issued blued 1903's were usually given to officers. My stepdad gave it to me a couple of years before he passed, 18 years ago. He kept it wrapped in an oiled rag in a cigar box from the time he got out of the Army at the end of the war. I've probably shot it twice as much as he ever did. It's fairly accurate, but only likes FMJ ammo, hollow points don't feed well in it.

I used to have my grandfathers old 303 British carbine for years and years but I sold it to my cousins son a couple of years back. Since I have no children I wanted him to have it
